Job summary

Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is seeking a Training and Education Specialist III for the Birth to Three Early Intervention (B23) Program. This role designs and delivers innovative training, provides technical assistance, and develops educational resources to support IDEA Part C compliance for staff, providers, and families.

Ideal candidates will have public speaking and collaborative skills, with experience in outreach, partnership building, and presenting information

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience delivering training or education courses using varied materials and equipment.
  • One year of experience preparing and maintaining training records and reports.
  • One year designing courses, curricula, lesson plans, instructional methods, materials, or activities.
  • One year creating methods/tools to analyze and evaluate training needs and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and delivers training, education courses, and workshops.
  • Organizes materials and equipment for training sessions.
  • Researches delivery methods and assistive technologies to promote learning.
  • Coaches others and provides feedback to improve performance.
  • Collects data to evaluate quality and identify needs.
  • Makes recommendations for improvements to training programs.
  • Provides guidance on training and education matters.
