Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission seeks a Training Specialist II at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center to deliver competency-based training for staff working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will design curricula, run new hire orientations, refresher trainings, and evaluate training outcomes to ensure safety and quality of care. Collaborate with facility leadership for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience teaching adults in a training setting.
• Ability to plan, design, and conduct competency-based training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct training classes in group or lab settings.
• Evaluate employee competencies and provide feedback.
• Customize training to improve relevance to the facility environment.
• Maintain accurate training records and reporting.
• Assist in curriculum material development and multimedia assets.
• Serve as Master Trainer and support other trainers as needed.
