Health & Human Services Comm in Texas seeks a Rehabilitation Teacher III to develop Skill Acquisition Plans (SAPs) and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. The role emphasizes collaborative planning with the Interdisciplinary Team and ongoing assessment of progress.

Qualifications

Knowledge of behavioral analysis theories and practice.
Ability to plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate an individualized program of instruction.
Experience working with individuals with IDD services.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Develops SAPs to teach skills for reentry to the community or independence.
Reviews health records and updates SAP plans with IDT input.
Administers assessments to determine strengths, needs and preferences.
Trains DSPs on SAP implementation and data collection.
Ensures safety, quality and compliance in daily activities.
