Job summary

Palmer-Donavin is hiring a Training & Development Coordinator to design, manage, and continuously improve learning programs that strengthen employee capability and leadership across the organization.

The role combines instructional design, program management, and facilitation to deliver scalable learning solutions, including onboarding, leadership development, and talent pipelines. Strong collaboration with leaders and a focus on AI-assisted efficiency are key.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience designing and managing learning and development programs.
  • Experience developing training materials using instructional design for ILT and digital environments.
  • Experience supporting early-career, leadership, internship, apprenticeship, or rotational programs.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and manage enterprise learning programs aligned to business goals.
  • Develop instructor‑led, virtual, blended, and self‑paced training materials and guides.
  • Administer LMS, training records, compliance reporting, and documentation.
  • Lead early-career development and leadership development initiatives.

Position Overview

The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for designing, managing, and continuously improving learning and development programs that strengthen employee capability, support organizational growth, and build leadership and technical talent across the organization.

This role combines instructional design, program management, and facilitation to deliver scalable learning solutions that align with business objectives. In addition to leading instructor‑led and virtual training, the Training & Development Coordinator develops and manages enterprise learning initiatives, including onboarding, leadership development, career pathing, early‑career development programs, and talent pipeline strategies.

The Training & Development Coordinator partners closely with leaders across the organization to identify development opportunities, implement innovative learning solutions, leverage AI and automation technologies to improve efficiency, and measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, communication, project management, and relationship‑building skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), training records, compliance reporting, and learning documentation.
  • Utilize AI tools, workflow automation, and digital learning technologies to improve content development, streamline administrative processes, and increase training effectiveness.
  • Lead the design, coordination, and management of early-career development programs, apprenticeship programs, leadership development initiatives, and other talent pipeline programs.
  • Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve enterprise learning and development programs that support organizational goals and employee growth.
  • Develop instructor‑led, virtual, blended, and self‑paced learning experiences, including training materials, job aids, e‑learning content, videos, guides, and supporting documentation.
  • Facilitate onboarding, leadership, professional development, systems, compliance, and skills‑based training for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with leaders to assess organizational capability gaps and develop learning solutions that improve employee performance and business results.
  • Manage multiple learning and development projects simultaneously, ensuring programs are delivered on time and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, participant feedback, performance metrics, and business outcomes, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Research emerging learning technologies, instructional methodologies, and industry best practices to enhance employee development programs.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through training strategy, communication, and end‑user readiness activities.
  • Coach managers and employees on development planning, career growth, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments to ensure learning programs support operational excellence, leadership development, and long‑term organizational capability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience designing and managing learning and development programs from concept through implementation.
  • Experience developing training materials using instructional design principles for both instructor‑led and digital learning environments.
  • Experience supporting early‑career development, leadership development, internship, apprenticeship, or rotational programs preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
