A leading company is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver training for the Child Nutrition Programs. Develop, design or revise training presentations, activities and materials related to program compliance and requirements for two federally funded Child Nutrition Programs: the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Happy Helpings, Georgia’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), and/or other nutrition-related programs/initiatives. Present information at state and nationwide conferences and deliver training sessions for new applicants, existing participants of the CACFP, SFSP, and Division employees. Schedule, coordinate, and deliver onboarding training to new hires and help develop and provide ongoing professional development for tenured staff. Travel is required. This position is remote and operates under limited supervision.
Associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university plus three years of relevant experience; or one year of experience at the lower level (GSP131). Equivalent combinations of education, experience, training, or certifications may be considered.
Additional qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Education, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, or Public Administration, along with two years of adult training and development experience. Preferred experience includes:
Knowledge of federal regulations (7 CFR 226, 225, and OMB Circulars), data management systems (Microsoft Office Suite, training software), and problem-solving skills.
Work primarily in an office setting with occasional physical activity, including lifting up to 30 pounds, and the ability to drive as needed.
