Responsible for the delivery of specialised technical training activities in the organisation.

Job Statement

We are currently seeking a Training Coordinator for a permanent opportunity at our Leonora Operations, just an hour’s flight from Perth, WA.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Health & Safety, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety and operational training to promote a culture of safety and compliance for the operations.

This opportunity is offered on a balanced 8 / 6, 4 / 3 roster. The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie, or residential in Leonora.

The Opportunity
  • Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Support development and maintenance of training systems for all workers and visitors to ensure statutory compliance and the safe, efficient achievement of company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and monitor that training systems reflect current work practices, procedures, and processes.
  • Monitor and manage training requirements of all workers to ensure skills requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers and subject matter experts to maintain training needs analysis and an operations training matrix.
  • Coordinate planning, approval, and scheduling of training to ensure employees acquire necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design and deliver safety and operational training programs tailored to different departments and roles.
  • Conduct safety and operational training assessments, including verification of competency, and provide feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and certification to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness and make adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Training Advisors, Process Trainers, and subject matter experts.
