Job summary

Gabriel Group is seeking a Training Coordinator for our Martinsburg, WV facility. The role focuses on organizing, developing, and overseeing employee training programs to enhance skills and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

You will conduct needs assessments, schedule sessions, create materials, and evaluate training effectiveness, serving as a link between staff needs and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire orientation and hands-on training for machine operation, safety procedures, and quality processes.
• Organize training sessions with supervisors, manage training schedules, and coordinate on-the-job coaching.
• Maintain training documentation and records, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (ISO, SQF, GMP), and manage updates within the LMS.
• Manage and monitor the training matrix to ensure required training, annual refresher training, competency evaluations, proficiency testing, and other training requirements meet due dates.
• Identify skill gaps through observation and feedback to create targeted training materials, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and performance.

Job Summary

The training coordinator organizes, develops, and oversees employee training programs to enhance skills and ensure compliance, acting as a key link between staff needs and organizational goals. Key duties include conducting needs assessments, scheduling sessions, creating materials, and evaluating effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire orientation and hands on training for machine operation, safety procedures, and quality processes.
• Organize training sessions with supervisors, manage training schedules, and coordinate on-the-job coaching.
• Maintain training documentation and records, ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, SQF, GMP), and manage updates within the training management system (LMS).
• Manage and monitor the company training matrix to ensure required training, annual refresher training, competency evaluations, proficiency testing, and other assigned training requirements are completed within established due dates.
• Identify skill gaps through observation and feedback to create targeted training materials, standard operating procedures, (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and performance.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of GMP.
• Excellent verbal and written skills to teach employees at all levels.
• Strong Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel), and experience with a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Ability to coordinate, schedule, and tackle multiple training projects concurrently.
• Relationship management, time management and organization, conflict resolution, negotiation, adaptability, teamwork, accountability and detail oriented.
