Job summary

The Crisis Center of Comal County is seeking a passionate Training Coordinator to design and deliver innovative training programs for staff, volunteers, and community partners, advancing trauma-informed care and regulatory compliance.

As the lead trainer, you will champion TBRI and Ukeru, develop curricula, and ensure HHSC/grant reporting. You will collaborate across departments to foster continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth within the agency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Two years of experience in domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, child welfare, or another trauma-informed human services setting.
  • Experience developing or facilitating training for adult learners.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel locally for trainings and community meetings.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), TBRI/Ukeru credentials, and experience with HHSC- or HUD-funded programs are a plus.

  • Design and facilitate engaging onboarding and ongoing staff training.
  • Lead trauma-informed training initiatives, including TBRI and Ukeru.
  • Develop innovative curriculum, training materials, and learning resources.
  • Provide documentation and reporting to ensure agency compliance with HHSC, grant, and regulatory training requirements.
  • Build partnerships by providing training to schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Help shape a culture where learning, collaboration, and excellence thrive.

As our Training Coordinator, you will lead the development and delivery of innovative training programs that equip employees, volunteers, and community partners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to serve survivors with excellence. You'll serve as our agency's leader in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Ukeru, trauma-informed care, and regulatory compliance training while helping cultivate a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth.
