Job summary

Regions Bank is hiring a Training Consultant - Subject Matter Expert to work with management to determine training needs, propose solutions for performance issues, and apply consultative skills to uncover and negotiate the best outcomes.

The role requires five years' experience in training/coaching, strong knowledge of adult learning, and ability to design and deliver measurable, interactive learning experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years of experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business operations, processes, systems, products, and regulatory requirements within the supported line of business.
• Experience serving as a subject matter expert, delivering training, coaching associates, or supporting business initiatives and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Research current trends in the topic area, shares with client partners, and synthesizes findings to support learning objectives.
• Remains current on industry trends and developments.
• Helps assess and provide feedback regarding associates' acquisition of knowledge and skill at the completion of training.
• Recommends additional self-development or training activities to promote skill development.
• Designs learning items based on accurate, current information consistent with sound theories and principles of adult learning.
• Assesses and meets the professional development level and characteristics of target audiences.
• Writes learning objectives based on participants' level of knowledge and area descriptive of desired outcomes.
• Chooses the appropriate instructional methods and materials for the proposed learning objectives.
• Develops measurable learning objectives and evaluates audience understanding during and after training.
• Delivers training based on principles of adult learning using various methods and media.
• Facilitates experiential learning activities with direction and feedback.
• Connects learning points throughout the course by building on prior concepts.
• Utilizes technology and communication strategies to reinforce learning and build skills.
• Applies curriculum sequencing and organization principles to arrange content.
• Possesses specialized depth/breadth of expertise in the assigned discipline.
• Interprets internal/external issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
• Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions.
• Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
