Job summary

Young Automotive Group is expanding and seeking a Trailers & Equipment Parts Associate / Counter Person. You will help customers choose trailer and equipment parts, source components, and support technicians with accurate parts for repairs.

With a focus on friendly service and efficient ordering, you’ll manage parts inventory, handle over-the-counter invoices, and assist customers by phone. A valid license, background check, and mechanical aptitude are preferred assets for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Stable work history with demonstrated success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Trailer, towing, agricultural, or equipment parts experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with trailer or equipment systems a plus.
• Experience with Tekion (ADP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting the right trailer and equipment parts and accessories in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Identify and source parts such as axles, hubs, bearings, brakes, couplers, hitches, lighting and wiring, jacks, tires, and hydraulic components
• Locate or order parts as needed
• Support service technicians with accurate and timely parts for repairs
• Prepare invoices for parts sold over the counter
• Answer phone calls and assist customers over the phone
• Follow up with customers on special order parts
• Keep the parts manager informed on the status of accounts
• Maintain a professional appearance
