Job summary

Young Automotive Group in Utah is hiring a Medium Duty Parts Associate / Counter Person to help fleet and commercial customers identify and order the right medium-duty parts for trucks and diesel vehicles.

This full-time role combines parts lookup, invoicing, and close collaboration with service technicians, with benefits including health, dental, life, and PTO. Tekion (ADP) experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Stable work history demonstrated in prior roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with good record.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Medium/heavy duty or diesel parts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist fleet, commercial, and retail customers in identifying and selecting the correct medium duty parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Look up parts by VIN, part number, and catalog, including diesel engine, brake, suspension, electrical, and drivetrain components
• Locate or order parts as needed, prioritizing downtime-sensitive orders for commercial customers
• Support service technicians with accurate and timely parts for repair orders
• Prepare invoices for counter, phone, and fleet account sales
• Answer phone calls and assist customers over the phone
• Follow up with customers on special order and backordered parts
• Keep the parts manager informed on the status of accounts and fleet orders
• Maintain a professional appearance
