Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Trailer Technician II in Barstow, CA to perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, complete work orders, and ensure standards meet company specifications.

The role supports onboarding, OE training, and safe operations across shifts. Applicants should have 2 years in trailer maintenance, DOT/FHWA inspections, and the ability to work outdoors.

Qualifications

Must have 2 years of semi-trailer maintenance/repair experience or equivalent
Experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes
Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through toolbox program
Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment.
Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform intermediate repairs to specifications.
Complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
Assist with onboarding and mentoring trailer technician trainees.
Participate in OEM training for OE repairs.
