Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with 2 years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance/repair or equivalent education/experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes.
• Own basic tools or participate in toolbox purchase program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs for trailer equipment (fuel systems, batteries, engines, drive trains, air brakes).
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform intermediate repairs to specifications; complete work orders.
• Mentor trailer technician trainees and participate in OE training.
• Follow shop safety procedures and communicate professionally with customers and J.B. Hunt personnel.
