J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician II responsible for intermediate maintenance, service, and repair on trailers and equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance to meet J.B. Hunt standards, and support the shop with safety and workflow efficiency.

The role requires 2 years of trailer maintenance experience, DOT inspections, and ability to work outdoors on multiple shifts. Benefits and growth opportunities are highlighted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with 2 years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes.
• Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including fuel systems, batteries, engines, drive trains, onboard computers, transmissions, air brake systems and FHWA inspections.
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and accurately perform intermediate-level repairs to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines.
• Assist with the onboarding and mentorship of trailer technician trainees.
• Participate in Original Equipment Manufacture training for OE repairs.
• Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
