Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management, a large privately held fleet company, seeks a Trailer Technician / Fleet Technician A at our Martin Brower facility in Garner, NC. Primarily servicing trailers, lift gates, and reefers in an outdoor role.

Shift is 8:00am-5:00pm with weekend flexibility. Pay ranges from $35.00–$37.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience.
• Must possess own tools and valid CDL A is highly desired; in some locations mandatory.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR under DOT regulations.
• Ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds and occasionally 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders via the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic tools where applicable.
• Complete complex inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all DOT/OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management safety policies and procedures.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
