Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management, a large private fleet operator, seeks a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A for repairs and maintenance on tractors, trailers, and related equipment at our Pompano Beach facility. Shift: Tue–Fri 12:30pm–9:00pm, Sat 8:00am–4:30pm.

Pay: $35.00–$38.00/hr, depending on experience. We offer generous vacation, sick/holiday pay, yearly raises, ASE and CDL incentives, 401K match, and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR under DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights over 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance using online system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic tech/software.
• Perform complex inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and company safety policies and use PPE and tools correctly.
• May require driving Reyes family of businesses vehicles; maintain DOT driver qualification file.

Reyes Fleet Management, 1 of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to perform repairs and maintenance on our tractor and trailer equipment located at our Reyes Beverage Group facility in Pompano Beach.

Shift: Tuesday - Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
• Some travel may be required

Required Education And Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
