Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Trailer Technician / Reefer Technician to repair and maintain the reefer units at our Reyes Beverage Group facility in Grand Prairie.

You will primarily be working on Carrier equipment and will diagnose, repair, and document work orders for complex mechanical and electrical problems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools and have minimum tool requirements.
• Valid driver's license and clean DMV record per DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Carrier refrigeration equipment.
• Assist with diagnosing and inspections of mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic tools.
• Complete documentation of work orders in AssetWorks.
• Install trailer refrigeration and heating units; possibly weld or install hydraulic liftgate components.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shift:

Full-Time Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay:

$30.00 - $34.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities:

• The Trailer Technician will mainly be focused on diagnosing and repairing Carrier refrigeration equipment.
• As a Trailer Technician, you will assist with diagnosing and detailed inspections of complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software
• You will complete thorough documentation of work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system
• You will install trailer refrigeration, heating units, and external graphics as well as possibly perform basic welding, metal cutting, and installation of hydraulic liftgate components
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Technical School Certification
