Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to perform repairs and maintenance on our tractor and trailer equipment at the Reyes Beverage Group facility in Pompano Beach.

Shift: Tuesday - Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm. Pay: $35.00 - $38.00/hr, depending upon experience. Generous benefits, career advancement opportunities, and a supportive work culture await.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with DOT regulations.
• CDL A is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds, occasionally 100+ pounds.
• Technical School Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring safety program compliance.
• Some travel may be required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Required Education and Experience:

• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
