Job summary

Schneider in Wilmer, TX is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on company trailers in a full-time night shift schedule (Wed-Fri and every other weekend, 5:30 P.M. – 4:00 A.M.).

You will use maintenance software to create and track work orders, communicate status updates to internal customers, and work on preventive repairs and minor electrical tasks as needed. Prior welding or diagnostic software experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 1 year trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Experience with computer systems and diagnostic software.
• Able to make maintenance and repair recommendations.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Job overview

• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time worked between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time, receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked. Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive a $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday – 5am Monday).
