Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Senior Trailer Technician in Wilmer, TX. You will perform major and minor repairs on company trailers, intermodal chassis and containers, ensuring safety and reliability on the road.

The role requires a technical degree or 2+ years in the field, proficiency with diesel tools, welding for damage, and knowledge of diagnostic software. On-site work with shift from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or 2+ years trailer technician experience.
• Mastery of diesel technician tools including hand/power tools, torches, and frame straightening equipment.
• Experience with computer systems and diagnostic software.
• Must provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Senior Trailer Technician - 262430 - Full-time Monday-Wednesday and every other weekend 2:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.

Job overview:

Perform major and minor repairs as a Senior Trailer Technician in Wilmer, TX. Work on company trailers, intermodal chassis and containers.

Responsibilities:

• Repair or replace components on company trailers, chassis and containers.
• Perform repairs on major accident damage – some that may require welding.
• Diagnose and repair all issues involving trailer electrical systems.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.

Skills and qualifications:

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 2 years of trailer technician experience.
• Mastery of various diesel technician tools, including hand and power tools, cutting and welding torches, frame and body straightening equipment, etc.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
