Job summary

Paragon Leasing L.P. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Trailer Shop Supervisor with hands-on leadership in trailer mechanics, body repair, and Thermo King reefer units. You will mentor technicians, oversee shop operations, and ensure fleet safety and on-schedule maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of management in a similar environment, strong computer skills, and experience with Transportation Management Tools. A valid Class C license and willingness to pass a drug test are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in a fleet/maintenance environment.
• Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Outlook) and Transportation Management Tools.
• AS/400 experience preferred.
• Diagnostic software experience required.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Drug test and non-DOT physical required.
• Trailer maintenance and trailer body repair experience.
• Telematics systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Technicians and shop operations to keep fleet safe and on schedule.
• Occasionally perform mechanical work.
• Maintain a safe and orderly shop environment.
• Plan and oversee internally generated repair orders.
• Coordinate repairs with other shops.
• Manage parts inventory.
• Communicate daily shop status to management.
• Maintain Safety and DOT compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY : We are currently seeking a Trailer Shop Supervisor with experience in Trailer Mechanics, Trailer Body Repair and Thermo King reefer units.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees Technicians and shop operations to ensure fleet is running safely and on schedule.
• Occasionally performing mechanical work
• Maintaining a safe and orderly shop environment
• Overseeing and plans internally generated repair orders
• Coordinating with other shops regarding repairs, request, etc.
• Manages parts inventory
• Communicating with management on daily shop status regarding repairs
• Maintain a Safety and DOT compliance environment
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of management and leadership experience in a similar environment (company size, personnel, etc.) required
• Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Outlook etc.)
• Previous and/or current experience with Transportation Management Tools
• AS/400 experience preferred
• Diagnostic software experience (required)
• Verbal and Written communication
• Trailer Maintenance and Trailer Body repair experience
• Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software. Basic computer skills required
• Valid Class C driver's license
• Must be able to pass a drug test and non-DOT physical
