Job summary

Stevens Transport seeks a Trailer Technician to perform scheduled and non-routine repairs on trailers and refrigeration units, ensuring DOT standards are met. The role offers growth within Paragon Leasing’s fleet maintenance group in Dallas, TX.

You will handle brake and suspension work, perform PMs on reefer units, read manuals, and maintain a clean shop. Strong tool skills and English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of trailer technician experience.
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Ability to clearly read, write and speak English.
• Basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and non-routine repairs to meet DOT standards.
• Make sure that lights are functioning properly, and wiring is secure.
• Repair or replace brakes, wheel seals and suspension.
• Preventable maintenance on refrigeration units on trailers.
• Repair or replace airlines.
• Maintain a clean and neat shop.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Trailer Technician who is responsible for completing preventative maintenance on our trailers and refrigeration units. Key Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled and non-routine repairs to meet DOT standards
• Making sure that lights are functioning properly, and wiring is secure
• Repairing or replacing brakes, wheel seals and suspension
• Preventable Maintenance on refrigeration units on Trailers
• Repairing or replace airlines
• Maintaining a clean and neat shop

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Demands

• Maneuvering around, in, on, and under trucks/tight spaces to properly inspect and diagnose problems
• Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body movements

• Climbing ladders, stairs, and platforms
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

Work Experience: 2+ years of trailer technician experience
