Job summary

Stevens Transport’s Paragon Leasing is seeking a Trailer Technician in Dallas, TX to perform preventative maintenance on trailers and refrigeration units. The role offers growth within a growing department with lateral opportunities and requires strong tooling skills.

Responsibilities include DOT-compliant repairs, lighting and wiring checks, brake and suspension work, and maintaining a clean shop. Benefits include medical/vision/dental and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of trailer technician experience.
• Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software.
• Valid Class C driver's license and basic math calculations.
• Ability to read manuals and instructions in English.

Department: Paragon Fleet Maintenance Group

Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a Trailer Technician who is responsible for completing preventative maintenance on our trailers and refrigeration units. If you are looking to specialize in trailers or looking to expand your trailer experience in a growing department with lateral opportunities, come make Stevens Transport's Paragon Leasing your new home.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled and non-routine repairs to meet DOT standards
• Making sure that lights are functioning properly, and wiring is secure
• Repairing or replacing brakes, wheel seals and suspension.
• Foaming of Refrigerated Trailers
• Maintaining a clean and neat shop
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic Tools set for job functions
• 2+ years of trailer technician experience
• Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software.
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction
• Valid Class C driver's license
• Ability to clearly read, write and speak English
• Basic math calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Preventable Maintenance experience on ThermoKing units
