Estes Express in New York state is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers. The role includes inspection, troubleshooting, and compliance documentation with FMCSA and related regulations. Candidates must be able to lift, use hand tools, and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, in varying weather conditions. Industrial environment, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 17+ years of age.
• 1 year experience and/or trade school training or equivalent.
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must own tools.
• Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria.
• Capable of adapting to changing technology and updates.
• Interest in electronics and precision equipment.
• Strong work ethic and problem solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance of trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and complete FMCSA/compliance documents.
• Interpret work orders and manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance.
• Attend work consistently and reliably.
• Perform other duties as assigned as needed.
