Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking skilled technicians for maintenance and repair of trailers and equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, and service systems, interpret work orders, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving, and the ability to work independently or in teams are essential. The role requires physical capability to lift heavy loads, operate safely in variable conditions, and maintain a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum of one year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria.
• Ability to keep up with changing technology and updates.
• Strong work ethic and good problem solving skills.
• CDL/FMCSA requirements may apply if driving on public roads.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on trailers and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and service equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare FMCSA safety documents.
• Interpret work orders and manuals; replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment to meet specs and regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance; flexible to shifts, nights, weekends.
