Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum one year of experience or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment; own tools preferred.
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria and adapt to changing technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA and regulations.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
