Job summary

Estes Express is seeking skilled maintenance technicians to perform trailer repairs and preventive maintenance. The role requires inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and ensuring safety standards and FMCSA compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, be 17+ years old, and able to use hand tools and testing equipment. Ownership of tools is preferred; willingness to work nights or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Must be 17+ years old
• Minimum one-year experience or completion of trade school
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment
• Must have own tools
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria
• Must possess the ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
• Possess mechanical ability and interest of electronics and precision equipment
• Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of trailers
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment
• Perform safety inspections and FMCSA compliance documentation
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to meet specifications
• Regular attendance is required
• May be assigned other duties as needed
