Job summary
R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for our Rock Hill, SC service center. The role involves diagnosing and repairing trailers, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations.
The position runs Monday–Friday, 3:00p to 1:30a, with competitive benefits and vacation after 90 days. Candidates should be skilled in interpreting manuals, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using Cetaris or similar systems.
Qualifications
- FMCSA safety inspections and documentation experience required.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals.
- Experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
- Experience testing equipment to ensure manufacturer specifications and regulations.
- Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and own your tools.
- Dependable and adaptable to climate conditions.
- Preferred Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System experience; welding and yard tractor/trailer driving are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostics, repair work, and overall maintenance of trailers.
- Perform safety inspections and document compliance per FMCSA and company policy.
