Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. The role focuses on preventative maintenance of UPS trailers and dolly units, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on non-power equipment including air and electrical systems.

Candidates must have automotive experience, access to hand tools, and be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts per location needs. CDL preferred; DOT compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A CDL preferred.
• Dependable with regular and timely attendance.
• Wears personal protective equipment and works in variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
• Assists in preventative maintenance of trailers and dolly units.
• Reports any malfunctions and completes repairs as needed.
