Job summary

UPS is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance on UPS Transportation Trailers and Converter Dollies. You will diagnose and repair non-power equipment, including air brake and electrical systems.

Ideal candidates have documented trailer mechanic experience, tool proficiency, and the ability to meet DOT requirements. The role requires willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts and lift up to 150 pounds. UPS offers comprehensive benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Must have current documented trailer mechanic experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possess a full complement of personal hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet D.O.T requirements for trailer maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain parts and inventory.
• Report to work regularly and complete the scheduled workday.
• Work varying shifts, overtime as needed.
• Lift up to 70 pounds and move up to 150 pounds.
• Operate power and manual tools; comply with PITO certification.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures, dust, and noise.
