Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for the Afternoon shift to maintain and repair trailers and related equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs in a fast-paced shop environment, adhering to DOT and OSHA regulations.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Paid benefits include health insurance on day one, a tool allowance, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance or entry-level technician role.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform safety inspections.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on trailing equipment per manufacturer, DOT, and company schedules.
• Inspect and access all areas of trailers to perform required work.
• Repair or rebuild equipment systems and ensure clean, safe work areas.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, OSHA, and other regulations; log job times and parts.
• Operate specialized tooling and move trailers as needed; interact with operations.
