Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Houston to perform routine maintenance on heavy‑duty trailers, inspect and repair systems, and ensure compliance with DOT and company standards. The role requires a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, and flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable heavy-duty maintenance or entry-level technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform safety inspections and document results.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on trailing equipment per manufacturer, DOT, and company schedules.
• Inspect and access equipment areas for maintenance and repair work.
• Repair or rebuild equipment systems as needed.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with tools and technologies to boost productivity.
• Move trailers on-site and operate a hostler in various weather conditions.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activity.
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles and keep work area clean and organized.
• Interact with operations and shop management.
