XPO Logistics, Inc. seeks a skilled Trailer Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy-duty trailers. The role requires a year of verifiable experience and a valid driver’s license, with readiness to work day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

You will inspect equipment, follow DOT/OSHA rules, maintain safety standards, and document work. The position includes uniforms, tool allowances, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• 1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance or time in an entry-level technician role.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to perform safety inspections and document them.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Availability for varied shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Brake inspection qualifications per FMCSA 369.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualifications per FMCSA 369.19.
• Basic hand tools required for heavy-duty trailer maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on trailer equipment per manufacturer, DOT, and company schedules.
• Inspect and access equipment areas for maintenance, including under-trailer work.
• Repair or rebuild all or part of trailer systems as needed.
• Follow DOT, EPA, OSHA and other regulations and maintain safe, organized work areas.
• Move trailers around the property and operate a hostler in various weather conditions.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activity; maintain tool and part records.
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles relevant to trailer maintenance.
