Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a diesel trucks technician for maintenance and repair of our heavy-duty refuse fleet. Starting pay is $25 to $30 per hour, with higher pay based on experience, certifications, and skill level.

Typical shift is 6am-4pm, Mon-Fri, with overtime after 40 hours. We offer PTO, tool allowances, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and a 401K after 6 months. We do not sponsor visas; applicants must have valid work authorization in the country where the job

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections and repairs on diesel refuse trucks.
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot problems on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Keep fleet vehicles ready for daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay:

$25 to $30 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.

Shift: 6am-4pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
