Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.

Starting pay is $25 to $30 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours and additional pay based on experience and certifications. Responsibilities include daily inspections, diagnosing issues, repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTOs, and other truck components to keep the fleet in safe,

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining diesel refuse trucks or heavy equipment.
• ASE testing certifications preferred; willingness to pursue certs.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO systems and other components.
• Diagnose mechanical issues to keep fleet operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure readiness for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay:

$25 to $30 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.

Shift: 6am-4pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
