Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Joliet, IL is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and service tank trailers and related systems.

The role requires mechanical and electrical skills, experience with air brake systems, trailer suspension, and welding readiness. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with pay ranging from $19 to $36 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills for tank trailers.
• Ability to diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical or other systems on a tank trailer.
• Experience with tank service and repair and trailer suspension installation/repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• Willingness to learn MIG/TIG welding on aluminum, stainless or carbon welding materials.

We are currently searching for a Trailer Mechanic for our Joliet, IL location!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7am- 3:30pm.

Pay Range: $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• Mechanical skills and abilities
• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• Willingness to learn how to MIG/TIG weld on aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
