Job summary

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Burlington Township, NJ Service Center. Responsibilities include the diagnostic process, repair work, and maintenance of trailers, with emphasis on safety and compliance. Sign-On Bonus and full-time schedule offered.

Candidates must perform safety inspections per FMCSA, interpret manuals, and complete trailer PMs and repairs while using their own tools. Lifting 50 lbs and reliability are required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing safety inspections and documenting results per FMCSA and local regs.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair specifications.
• Experience testing equipment to meet manufacturer specs and regulations.
• Experience with trailer PMs and repairs, able to lift 50 lbs.
• Own tools and dependable with availability for varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain trailers at the Burlington Township, NJ service center.

Trailer Mechanic, Hourly range is $27.47 - $34.02 hr. Sign-On Bonus $2500.00

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts

Job Description:

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Burlington Township, NJ Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements:

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations


• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals


• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems


• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations


• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs


• Must be able to lift 50lbs


• Must own your own tools


• Must be dependable


• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System




• Welding




• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers




• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles




• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
