Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for our Otsego, MN Service Center. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing trailers, performing maintenance, and ensuring reliability of the fleet.

This Full-Time position offers an hourly rate of $37.75 with shifts Monday–Friday. Immediate PTO use and a comprehensive benefits package accompany employment, including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company matching, and paid vacation/holidays.

Qualifications

• FMCSA safety inspections and required safety documents.
• Able to interpret technical manuals and follow manufacturer specifications.
• Experience in repairing or replacing defective parts and systems on trailers.
• Experience in testing equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with regulations.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and own your own tools.

Job description

Trailer Mechanic, Hourly rate is $37.75 hr.

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Otsego, MN Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements:

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
