Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a Trailer A Mechanic in China Grove, NC. This full-time role operates on a 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am, Monday through Friday, with an earning potential up to $32.74 per hour.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance of trailers, plus eligibility for PTO after 90 days and a strong benefits package. Qualified candidates should have FMCSA-inspection experience, be able to interpret technical manuals, repair or replace defective parts,

Qualifications

• Experience performing safety inspections and FMCSA documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems on trailers.
• Test equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance.
• Conduct trailer PMs and repairs to manufacturer specs.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and handle manual tasks.
• Must own a set of tools and be dependable.
• Willing to work in varying climate conditions.

• Review manuals and ensure work meets specs.
• Utilize Cetaris or similar systems for work orders when needed.

Requirements

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
