Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers at the Ellenwood, GA facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to provide own tools. Technical Diesel Technology Diploma is preferred, with 1 year of mechanical experience. DOT and Brake certifications are required to perform PMs and brake work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical Diploma from an accredited Diesel Technology Program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience preferred.
• DOT and Brake certifications required to perform PMs and brake work.
• OEM online certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers.
• Follow PM guidelines for routine maintenance on brakes, tires, wiring, and fluids.
• Check and maintain vehicle fluids; change tires and grease components.
• Maintain high productivity and complete tasks within SRT targets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
