Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted NC RN license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing and one calendar year of teaching (hybrid/online) in a college or university setting.
• Ability to leverage various technologies that engage students in the learning process.
• Proficiency in NCLEX blueprint, statistical analysis, and instructional reinforcement to achieve learning outcomes.
• Clinical expert with effective communication and assessment skills.
• Evidence of mentoring and supporting undergraduate students in study abroad, internships, or service-learning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate learning activities, develop course content, and assist students in adult health nursing theory and practicum.
• Teach a minimum of 12 semester hours in classroom and clinical areas.
• Participate in program planning, curriculum development, advisement, and student-centered learning.
• Perform duties assigned by the Director of Nursing or BSN Program.
• Engage in interprofessional collaboration and department/university activities.
• Teach graduate and/or professional courses; communicate with students as progress is monitored.
