Job summary

Winston-Salem State University is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach RN-BSN Distance Learning courses for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years. The Division of Nursing invites experienced educators to plan and deliver theoretical and clinical instruction, serve as a nursing resource, and contribute to student success.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating coursework, facilitating online discussions, and staying current with nursing trends and educational technologies.

Qualifications

• MSN in Nursing Education is required.
• Minimum of five years of full-time clinical nursing experience.
• Current unrestricted RN license in North Carolina.
• Experience with learning management systems within educational platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide theoretical and/or clinical instruction aligned with nursing program philosophy and curriculum.
• Facilitate student achievement of course objectives/outcomes using varied teaching methods.
• Evaluate student achievement of course objectives/outcomes.
• Serve as a nursing resource for healthcare and local agencies.
• Use feedback to improve instruction.
• Deliver didactic, online, or hybrid instruction with evidence-based strategies.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans and conduct online discussions.
