Job summary

City of Bellevue is seeking a Capital Projects Coordinator to advance Bellevue’s 90-mile park trail system and other capital projects within the parks system. You will lead urban trail planning, manage project delivery, and coordinate with city staff and stakeholders to deliver high-impact public spaces.

The role requires strong collaboration, budget development, and experience in public sector project management.

Qualifications

• Degree in public administration, urban planning, landscape architecture, urban forestry, project management, civil engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of professional experience managing capital projects.
• Washington State Driver's License or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and implementation of a capital trails program in collaboration with planning and real property teams.
• Manage priorities for capital investment on trails and develop a prioritized project list.
• Develop recommendations on project constructability and prioritization for leadership.
• Coordinate with Natural Resources staff to understand development and maintenance needs of trails.
• Collaborate with Transportation staff on city-wide trail goals and projects.
• Develop and implement contract documents such as contracts, drawings, specs, and permits.
• Evaluate and pursue grant funding and assist with budget documents and grant applications.
• Provide technical analysis and contribute to long-range planning and policy development.
• Engage the public through diverse outreach tools and processes for high-visibility projects.
