Job summary

Highway Intelligent Traffic Solutions LLC is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician to install, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems, highway lighting and ITS components. You will work on-call, perform preventative maintenance, and cabinet installations to ensure reliable functionality.

The role requires reading plans and schematics, programming controllers, and using test equipment; candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, work in all weather, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL medical card if CDL.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient at programming and setting up controllers, video detection, and communications equipment.
• Proficient at troubleshooting and repairs.
• Able to read plans and schematic diagrams.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Skilled work in construction, maintenance and repair of traffic signal systems, highway lighting, and ITS.
• On-call duties, emergency trouble calls, preventative maintenance, and cabinet installation, set-up & testing.
• Assist Foreman with supervision and training of subordinate employees.
• Complete and turn in required personal paperwork.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Communications with customers and other contractors.
• Maintain and renew required certifications and licenses.
• Abide by all safety rules and wear PPE on site.
