Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Traffic Systems Specialist I requires 2 years of related experience; substitutions possible with college education or technical training.
• Traffic Systems Specialist II requires 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives/operates a bucket truck to install and repair electronic traffic control devices at various heights.
• Monitors work sites under varying conditions of light and weather and ensures traffic control measures are operating effectively.
• Responds to emergency situations to assist with repair and maintenance of traffic signals, systems, lighting or traffic data collection equipment.
• Coordinates preventive maintenance on equipment and manages materials with district maintenance offices for Specialist II.
