Texas Department of Transportation's Austin District seeks a skilled Traffic Signal System Specialist across levels I–IV to maintain and enhance traffic management and data collection systems.

The role covers installing, testing, programming and repairing electrical/electronic devices, with potential statewide travel and emergency response. Eligible candidates will have high school diploma and related experience; recruitment bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• High school grad or equivalent required.
• Experience in traffic systems maintenance preferred.
• Willing to obtain CDL Class A with N endorsement within 365 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Analyzes and interprets schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Drives a bucket truck to install and repair traffic control devices.
• Tests and repairs traffic control and data collection systems.
• Responds to emergencies to repair signals and data collection equipment.
• Coordinates with district personnel and vendors for maintenance and upgrades.
