Job summary

City of Bremerton seeks an experienced Electronics Systems Technician to administer, maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot traffic control and related electronic systems. You will work under the Public Works Operations Manager, handling RTUs, controllers, wiring, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable city infrastructure.

Responsibilities include preparing specifications, maintaining records, and supporting equipment standards across city departments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics or closely related field AND three years of experience maintaining and repairing electronic systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Designs, installs, programs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs traffic signal systems and components.
• Reviews and corrects consultants' plans and specifications for traffic signal, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Designs and supports radio and SCADA telemetry systems, including installation and maintenance of RTUs and controllers.
• Annually cleans traffic signal cabinets and coordinates preventive maintenance.
• Maintains accurate system records including wiring drawings, schematics, and maintenance histories.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs electronic computer equipment in vehicles and other equipment.
