Job summary

Team Gilbert in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an ITS Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee the Traffic Signal Specialists I-III in construction, maintenance, and operation of traffic signals.

You will train staff, supervise installation, diagnostics, repair, and operation of ITS equipment, and coordinate with Engineering and Town leadership. This exempt, at-will role offers opportunities for growth in a dynamic municipal environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with some college-level training or technical coursework.
• 5 years of experience in traffic signal construction, maintenance, and repair.
• 3 years of lead, supervisory or training experience.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and directs the activities of the Traffic Signal Specialists I, II, and III in construction, preventive maintenance, and operations of traffic signals.
• Provide training, direction and supervision to prepare staff for installation, diagnostics, repair and operation of ITS equipment.
• Supervises and evaluates the work of subordinate personnel in installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics.
• Communicate with Engineering Division Staff, the public, other Town employees, vendors, and contractors about ITS specs, reports, and performance.
