Job summary

Responsibilities include budgeting support, incident response, and reporting on operations. Travel to alternate locations and occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of operating, maintaining, and repairing traffic signal systems.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating with other agencies.
• Ability to develop and implement timing plans for signals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Traffic Operations Center and oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of traffic signal systems.
• Plan and train staff; interview and select candidates; supervise daily work.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and electrical work; monitor alarms and adjust timings.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and supervise diagnostics and repairs.
• Prepare reports on operations and equipment; assist with budgeting.
• Liaise with other jurisdictions and agencies affecting traffic control.
