Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in California is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones. You will use traffic control devices to divert drivers and pedestrians, monitor road repairs, and supervise teams as they install equipment.

Responsibilities include operating company trucks to transport materials, driving MOT and TMA vehicles, placing signs, setting up cones, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of experience and 4,000 in field hours in traffic control.
• ATSSA TCS intermediate training required.
• Must pass background check, including motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with possible overnight stays.
• Read and interpret traffic control plans and ensure implementation.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to move materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT (Management of Traffic) and TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicles as needed.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards as required.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices in work zones.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure equipment remains correctly located.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies.
